One Step

OneStep was a fun project that allowed me to expand my skills in character animation. Our company had just entered the early stages of its rebrand, and we were still refining the identity for our animations. We explored several ideas for OneStep, and given the name, we felt a music/dance theme would be a perfect fit.

I sketched multiple character designs and backgrounds to establish a look and feel, ultimately landing on an ’80s workout routine concept. To capture that high-energy, brightly colored vibe, I researched footage from the ’80s and early ’90s for inspiration. To ensure the animation felt cohesive with the product’s technical side, I chose a simple 2D style for our main character, Mike, who helps navigate the complexities of the product.
